Winter To Do List:

     * Protect Perennials by covering the ground with evergreen branches from the
Christmas tree.

     * Start Paperwhites and Amarmllis indoors. They're easy, just plant in soil so that
the top third of the bulb is showing water well and place in a sunny window.

     * Plant ILEX Sparkleberry for a long lasting display for Red Berries. The birds
love it too!

     * Bring the outdoors in with Houseplants. They are beautiful to look at and help
purify the stale indoor air.

     * Take cuttings of Forsythia, Quince and Crabapple for forcing early inside.
Place in a tall vase of water in a sunny location. It may take a week or two to see
flowers so change water frequently.

     * Plan to attend the RI Flower Show, February 18-21.

     * SEND FLOWERS FOR NO REASON AT ALL

As always if you have any questions or thoughts regarding our tips and
suggestions, or if you have any questions at all regarding planting, gardening, our
